The 9th annual clothes swap was a terrific success!

The picture above is all the clothes to be washed and sorted before the Methodist Home For Children pick up date.
Next are some photos from the swap. This year we had about forty or so women accompanied by a toddler and baby to coo over!

Heidi found a slammin’ dress!

Thanks to Debbie for all her hard work!

A fun time for a great cause with fantastic people! Thanks to Sarah for volunteering to be the hostess for next year’s clothes swap!
Enjoy your day!

The weather is indecisive this time of year luckily we have cured oak for firewood.

As I watch the fire taking shape, a dragon appears in the fire’s silhouette.

Tonight we have a blazing fire to help heat our living space.

A sunny afternoon is the perfect time for this little lizard to catch some rays.

After only a few photographs, Mr. Lizard tires with all the attention. He retreats to his rock house.

Seems that winter and spring have argued over which is in control. Winter wins the weekend!

Who does not enjoy the warmth and glow that a fireplace provides?

I favor the photos taken without my flash. I rely on the light cast from the fire itself.

Stay warm my friends.
Enjoy your day!

After all the much-needed rain, we have a sunny day! Brightly colored flowers are finally in bloom in our gardens.

Barely visible is a tiny spider hiding from my camera.

Yet another new insect for me to photograph!
This impressive guy is one of the largest members of the click beetle family Elateridae!

Mr. Beetle is not very happy with me snapping photos.
He decides to play dead for minute or two in hopes of me wonder on to the next picture.

It’s off to the next photo-op!

Details matter. Nature’s attention to the insect world never ceases to delight.

While chopping firewood, the strange-looking larvae start to drop from holes in the center of the hickory tree. The birds seem to relish in the special winter delicacy as if someone lifted the top off an aromatic pot of soup.

The hidden larva is from the Cerambycidae family. The Round Headed Borers larva is a new species for me to observe.

The orange spots add great color.
The various sizes do not matter to the birds. A tiny wren took flight and dropped the fatted larva food about five times before settling in to eat.

Macon is a star on the musical world map. The varied venues and genres of musical talent is a magnet for both local and touring artists.
Roasted- Cafe and Lounge featured Christopher Bell opening for Trendlenburg Band.
Bell belted out lyrics with soulful ease.

When Christopher Bell comes to town be sure to listen! For more information visit: http://www.silenthomerecords.com
Trendlenburg Band consists of four local musicians with a shared love of entertaining via music.
Justin Cutway is lead vocal and guitars.
Chris Nyland is lead guitar and backup vocals.
Shawn Williamson plays bass.
Also above, please note Justin Smith on drums and backup vocals. I find it hard to get a great photo of drummers in general.

The musical talent kept us all happy on a Macon Friday night!
Thanks to Chris @ Roasted-Cafe and Lounge for great service with a packed out venue.
Enjoy your day!

The painted chair is curing rapidly with the warm weather. Surveying the area I soon start finding the accidental art created from my project.
This is one of my favorite chair project by-product! The sun came out with perfect timing to capture the shadows from the grass blades.

Layers of various paints make a beautiful fallen leaf brilliantly fun!

I really like this small art piece!
Art on earth makes for great photos!

I am still finding bits of art unexpected and have painted many leaves on this sunny January day. I am not sure what I will do with them other than enjoying the experience.
Enjoy your day!
